PARK INFO & RESERVATIONS

General Park Info and Rules

West Manchester Township parks exist for the enjoyment and recreation of the community. Park users must be respectful of property and other park users. Natural resources and wildlife are to be preserved.
PARK HOURS – Dawn to Dusk. No overnight parking.
BEHAVIOR/ LIABILITY: Avoid offensive language or behavior. Keep music volume reasonable. Renters must provide adequate supervision and protection of minors. In granting permission to use of township parks, WMT assumes no liability for individuals attending the renter’s event. We recommend that you do not leave your belongings unattended. WMT is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
FOOD TRUCKS/ VENDORS must be approved by the Parks and Recreation Director at least two weeks in advance. A MOBILE FOOD VENDOR/NON-FOOD VENDOR APPLICATION , fee, and Dept of Ag License will be required in advance. A Certificate of Liability Insurance (COI) is required for private parties who are bringing in an outside vendor.
PUBLIC COMMUNITY EVENTS (events open to the public) must be approved by the Parks and Recreation Director at least two weeks in advance. A PARK USE PERMIT (coming soon as of 4.27.26) and Certificate of Liability Insurance (COI) is required for public events at the parks.
DOGS are permitted at the following parks: Sunset Lane Park, Dunedin Park, Westgate Park, and the Little Conewago Conservation Area. They must be kept on a leash no longer than 6′. Owners must dispose of waste appropriately. Dogs may not be left off-leash on trails or in open spaces. Violators will be fined.
PROHIBITED: No alcohol, tobacco, drugs, or vaping, No amusement/commercial equipment (inflatables, bounce houses) for private rentals/events. No glitter, silly string, confetti, or powder balloons. All West Manchester properties are alcohol-free and tobacco-free. West Manchester is a Young Lungs at Play! Community.

Archery Hunting In the Conservation Areas

ARCHERY HUNTING ON WEST MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP PROPERTY

Archery Hunting is permitted in Little Conewago Creek Conservation Area (2600 Thornbridge Rd W) with permit and approval from West Manchester Township. Hunting is NOT permitted at Derry Conservation Area off of Derry Rd (updated 9/25/25).

Hunters must fill out the Archery Hunting Agreement and pick-up a permit from the township prior to archery season. Permits will be drawn by lottery. Permits have been awarded and are no longer being accepted for the 2025-2026 season. Those caught hunting without a WMT permit will be subject to any fines or violations.

Rental Information and Fees

To ensure availability, we strongly encourage reservations for park and pavilion usage. Rest room keys (Sunset Lane and Broad Street Parks) are available only to renters.
Reservations can be made online on RECDESK 24/7, paid with a credit card or be made in person during business hours with cash, check, credit card. Reservations are first come, first served. No reservations are final until payment is made.
The restroom key/ reservation sign/ trash bag must be picked up 1-2 business days before the rental date at the township building (380 E Berlin Rd) during office hours Mon-Fri, 8:00am-4:30pm. There is a cork board located at the pavilion to hang your reservation sign.
The restroom key must be returned by the next business day. A drop box is located at the township building if you wish to return the restroom key on a weekend. The $25.00 security deposit will be returned as long as there are no damages to the facility and property, the park rules are followed, and trash was taken with you or disposed of in the dumpster. The deposit will be held until the pavilion has been inspected, making sure all trash was taken from the pavilion, and the key returned.
RENTAL CANCELLATIONS must be made during normal business hours. Upon cancellation, rental fees will be refunded, minus a 10% administration fee. NO REFUND will be made less than one week prior to your reservation. Upon determination of the Parks and Recreation Director, rental fees for the pavilion may be refunded in the case of extreme weather.

Non-resident rates implemented as of 8/1/25. A $25 security deposit is required for all reservations.* A trash bag and WMT sticker (sticker for residents only) are provided to dispose of all trash from the rental. The renter is responsible for all clean-up, leaving the facility in the shape it was in when they arrived. Renters must remove all tape, staples, nails or push pins if used to decorate. If you utilize the restrooms, please turn off the lights and lock the doors.
