The History

Welcome to Happy Trails – a partnership between West Manchester Township and Asbury Normandie Ridge!

Happy Trails exists because of the vision of a community of people to create a tranquil park in West Manchester Township. Happy Trails was 100% built by philanthropy and established in 2021. Financial donations, volunteer labor, supplies and expertise all contributed to the creation of Happy Trails. We recognize the contributions of many to make this park a reality. Special thanks to the York County Community Foundation’s Hahn Home Fund for Embracing Aging. Their continual encouragement, participation and financial support has been invaluable.

Park Amenities

Enjoy this .5 mile trail with 8 foot wide ADA accessible paths and plenty of benches in a serene nature setting. This area is located on a 4 acre lot, with another trail (more moderate of a hike). This park is age friendly with intergenerational learning! An ADA port-o-john is available April – Sept.

Rededication - June 2026

On 6/4/26 – we did a ribbon cutting to rededicate the park, unveiling the refreshed walking path markers and new way-finding/educational signage with our friends from Normandie Ridge Senior Living Community & the Asbury Foundation.

It sure was a celebration filled with community spirit and outdoor fun, including live music by the Creekside Trio, Sarah’s Creamery, face painting, & a butterfly release! Thank you to all who made this event possible and for those who joined us!
