ROAD WORK ON ROUTE 30 & ROOSEVELT AVENUE
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a pavement patching project that includes repairs to a sinkhole and other improvements on a section of Route 30 as well as work on Roosevelt Avenue (Route 4001) in York County is scheduled to resume the night of Sunday, March 8. This work will complete the project.
Weather permitting, the contractor will work from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Sunday through Thursday nights. Work starting next week includes repairing inlets, patching potholes, and placing seed. This work will be followed by line painting, which will complete physical work on the project. All work is expected to be completed in about a month, weather permitting.
This work is part of a project that includes concrete patching, concrete paving, diamond grinding, asphalt milling, base repair, asphalt overlay, guiderail updates, ADA ramps, signs, pavement markings, and other miscellaneous construction on Route 30 from Route 74 in West Manchester Township to Interstate 83 in Manchester Township.
Travelers should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone.
